Amazing. Check this out: Solar Power Paint. Brilliant!
I have a wonderful two and a third year old son (Hi Coby!!!) and once in a while he gets to watch some TV. Mostly we restrict him to purely educational shows (animals, nature, numbers etc) which mostly means CBeebies. One show is so cool I just had to blog about it.
Tommy Zoom is the story of Tommy and his dog Daniel and their adventures battling the naughty Polluto and his cat Smogg. The show uses live action and animation to help illustrate the small choices we all make each day and the impact they have and ultimately the small choices we can choose to do that make a difference to solve those problems.
Tommy Zoom does a great job of turning complex issues into fun educational story lines to get those little ones aware from an early age.

I just love the idea of this. The goal is to "inspire a new generation of viable, super-efficient vehicles [100+ MPG] that help break our addiction to oil and stem the effects of climate change".
And there is a $10m prize fund to make it commercially worthwhile. And let's face it, whoever invents the transport of tomorrow stands to not only make a bit of cash but more importantly they could be a huge global hero.
Thinking caps on people!
Cheers

Fantastic 'corporate spin' spoof video clip for you courtesy of World Changing:
If you live in Seattle you probably already know that the City of Seattle has banned bottled water. You will be pleased to know that Natural Collection offers a variety of items to help you make the most of your tap water. Why not check out the:
Sigg water bottle, Water filter jug system, Four-litre terracotta water filter, Gravity water purifier & the Filtered water bottle.
Oh, and if you live outside of the City of Seattle then you might find them useful too.
Happy World Water Day. Here are five ways to love the clear stuff:
1) Put a brick in your toilet tank - reduce the amount you flush
2) Shower instead of taking a bath - check out our great water-saving shower head!
3) Switch off taps when you can i.e. when you are brushing your teeth
4) Rinse vegetables in a small bowl of water instead of leaving the tap running
5) Fill a bucket to wash your car instead of using a hose
Love water? Save water! Would love to hear your tips on saving water...
The biggest Butterfly House in the world is to be built in Britain to help save these most majestic of creaures - HURRAH! Why not have a Butterfly Feeding station in your garden? Flutter Flutter Flutter...
Wind-powered shipping! What an amazing and totally simple idea. No shortage of wind at sea and in this test the wind provided 20% of the power needed. And it is a big ship...not just a wee rowing boat. So there is no room for cynicism here. And with more and bigger sails the sky is literally the limit...
And if you think that's cool then check out these Air Powered cars.
This is amazing and shows just how ingenious we can be. Fills me with hope.
